Andy's Channel Swim for Diabetes UK
WE DID IT!!!
After 17 hours, 17 minutes and 17 seconds, my team mates 'The D.U.K.E..S' and I successfully crossed the English Channel from Dover. We battled the currents and tides which forced us to swim over 28 miles before landing on Sangatte Beach at 1:23am.
I was proud to wear my Marlins cap for each of my three hour long stretches.
I owe a huge debt of thanks to John Parmiter, Maurice Cleaver, and our club committee for such incredible support. Above all I would like to thank our swimmers and families for inspiring me to achieve this for Diabetes UK and for our club.
It's not too late to donate! Please visit my website here!
